Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 21, 2026

This policy explains what Rooted Family Insurance (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website or ask us to contact you, how that information is used and shared, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the phone, text and email conversations that follow from a request made here.

1. Who we are

We are an independent insurance agency. We help people understand and compare final expense life insurance, and we submit applications to the carriers that issue those policies. We are not an insurance carrier and we do not underwrite, issue or pay claims on any policy. Because we sell insurance, we are treated as a financial institution under the federal Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act, and we handle the nonpublic personal information you give us in line with that law and with the insurance privacy rules of the states where we are licensed.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us through the quote form on this site:

  • Your name, phone number and, if you choose to give it, your email address.
  • Your ZIP code and the age range you select.
  • What you would like help with, and whether you consented to be contacted.

Information collected automatically when the form is submitted, which we keep as our record that a request was genuinely made: the IP address the request came from, the browser identifier your device sent, and the date and time.

Information you share later in conversation. If you go on to discuss coverage with a licensed agent, you may share health, financial, beneficiary or banking details as part of an application. That information is collected during the application process rather than through this website, and it is treated as nonpublic personal information.

3. How we use information

  • To respond to your request and have a licensed insurance professional follow up with you.
  • To discuss coverage options, prepare quotes and, if you decide to proceed, submit an application to a carrier.
  • To contact you by phone, text or email in the ways you consented to.
  • To keep records we are required to keep as a licensed agency, including records of the consent you gave.
  • To protect the site against spam and fraudulent submissions.
  • To comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests from regulators.

4. How we share information

We share what is necessary, and only with:

  • Licensed insurance agents working with our agency, so that someone can follow up on your request.
  • Insurance carriers and their underwriters, when you ask us to seek a quote or submit an application on your behalf.
  • Service providers that operate on our behalf, such as our website host and email provider, under obligations to protect the information.
  • Regulators, courts and law enforcement, where we are required to do so by law or to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Your mobile phone number and your consent to receive text messages are never shared with, or sold to, any third party for that party’s own marketing.

5. Calls, text messages and email

When you tick the consent box on the quote form, you give us express written permission to contact you at the number and email address you provided — including by automatic telephone dialing system, by prerecorded, artificial or AI-generated voice, and by text message — about final expense and life insurance. That consent is never a condition of buying anything, and you are welcome to contact us directly instead.

You can withdraw consent at any time, by any reasonable means. Reply STOP to any text message, tell the agent on the call to stop contacting you, use the unsubscribe link in an email, or write to us using the details below. Reply HELP to a text for assistance. We treat a withdrawal as applying to all marketing calls and texts from us, however you send it, and we act on it promptly and no later than ten business days after we receive it.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. After you withdraw consent we may still contact you where the law allows it without consent — for example about a policy you already hold or an application already in progress.

6. Cookies and website analytics

This website does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. We may use privacy-focused analytics that report visits in aggregate and do not identify individual visitors. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies; the site works without them.

7. How we protect information

This site is served over an encrypted connection, and quote requests are stored where they are not reachable from the web. We limit access to the people who need it to do their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and records of consent for as long as we need them to answer your enquiry, to service any policy that results, and to meet the record-keeping periods that insurance and telemarketing rules place on us. After that we delete them or remove the details that identify you.

9. Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to stop contacting you, and you can ask us what we hold about you. Depending on your state, privacy law may also give you the right to request a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of its sale or of targeted advertising — we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will verify who you are before we act, and we will not treat you differently for asking. If we cannot act on a request — for example because the information is insurance information that federal or state law requires us to keep, or that is exempt under the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act — we will tell you why.

You can also add your number to the National Do Not Call Registry at donotcall.gov.

10. Children

This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Other websites

Links to carrier or other third-party websites are provided for convenience. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will post the new version here and update the date shown at the top of the page. Material changes will be described plainly rather than buried.
